

About Me

After having been an active child who was always interested in sport and physical activity it’s no surprise that my first real job was working in a gym. From the early days of being a leisure attendant at a local hotel gym I went to college and earned my coaching qualifications and then spent several years working in a gym through the summers and working in the US as a ski instructor during the winters. After that I qualified as a personal trainer and spent my first year travelling the world working as a fitness coach onboard a cruise ship.
I then returned to Aberdeen and have spent the past 20 years working as a personal trainer and fitness coach.
I have finally found the courage to start my own business focusing on helping others experience the benefits of improved health and fitness. My passion is helping clients lead a healthier lifestyle and realise that with a little effort, dedication and hard work it’s possible to become fitter, stronger, more mobile, more confident and look and feel better.
Coaching
I am fortunate to be based out of a fantastic gym with a great location on Springfield road in Aberdeen’s west end. Athletic Edge www.aegyms.com is a superbly equipped facility with everything you would want from a small gym. One of it’s main attractions for me is that it’s not overly busy and provides the ideal environment for coaching.
Consultation - Naturally before commencing any coaching I like to have a consultation with all new clients. This is an opportunity to discuss goals and possible pathways to success.
Personal training/coaching - coaching sessions can take any form, they can be used for working out in the gym, working on flexibility & mobility, discussing nutrition or lifestyle habits or even going outdoors for a run or walk.
Normally sessions will be conducted at the gym however this is not exclusive and I am available to visit clients at their own homes where appropriate.
Online coaching - Online coaching and online assistance is also available, please get in touch and we can discuss what is appropriate for each individual circumstance.
